Accepting payments
There's a range of tools and payment processors you can use to make your new venture possible, but today we'll only spend time learning about the two we use the most.
Paypal & Stripe
What are the differences between Paypal and Stripe? Well they're actually pretty similar and you may only need one or the other.
Stripe offers more functionality with the actual button of the payment field on your media it. It provides a slew of different functions like image and information forms built into the purchase now button, so collecting info or data from the client is very streamlined.
Paypal however offers a much better banking aspect. Sending and receiving cash between accounts is a breeze. We've never had a problem with Paypal and have had plenty of money go through it so our trust with them is very high. However if you're looking for more than a simple "buy now" button, you're out of luck.
Either Stripe or Paypal can transfer money directly to your actual banking account within a day or two from once its received. To get the most out of both programs, you'll want to sign up for the business account. You'll need to get an active business EIN number to successfully apply for those programs. In some states, a business license can cost less than 50 dollars and obtained in a day or two. Its not required to do the business accounts, but we recommend it for sure.
With a business license you can apply for
- Business insurance
- Tax benifits
- Business payment accounts
- Enterprise bandwidth solutions
